Department of Neurology
Dr. Fasano is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Epilepsy Division. She is the medical director of the Emory Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, director of the Intracranial EEG Service, and director of the Emory Tele-EEG service. Dr. Fasano's clinical interests include refractory epilepsy and catastrophic epilepsy syndromes; in 2016 she established a cannabidiol oil clinic for patients with refractory epilepsy. Additionally, she cares for many patients with RNS (Responsive Neurostimulator; NeuroPace) devices and is a co-investigator on several RNS studies. Her research interests include neurostimulation, invasive EEG monitoring, and epilepsy surgery outcomes. She is also very interested in medical education and has developed an EEG educational website for neurology residents and fellows.
