Christine Doss Esper, MD

Biography

Dr. Esper received a B.S. in Psychology (Honors) from the University of Chicago.  She received her MD (High Honors) from the University of Illinois School of Medicine in Chicago.  She trained at the Partners Harvard Neurology Program, at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  She completed a one-year clinical movement disorders fellowship at Emory University, followed by an additional year of clinical deep brain stimulation fellowship at Emory University, under the mentorship of Mahlon Delong.  She became faculty at Emory in 2007.  Her leadership roles have included Neurology Clerkship Education Directory at the Wesley Woods Health Center (2007-2009), in addition to the Clinical Director of the Deep Brain Stimulation Program (2007 – 2012).  She is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, Movement Disorders Society, and Parkinson’s Functional Neurosurgery Group.
